What is Dollars for Scholars?
Candia Dollars for Scholars (CDS) was founded in 1993 by a group of community-spirited citizens in Candia, New Hampshire.
It is the local chapter of a national non-profit organization, Scholarship America (formerly Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America), and is also part of a regional support system, New England Dollars for Scholars.
Our purpose, as stated in the CDS bylaws, is "to provide financial assistance to residents of Candia in their pursuit of higher education without regard to race, color, creed, age, or sex."
Candia Dollars for Scholars welcomes new members. Meetings are held once a month.
